Thank you for accessing the Earshot App website (the "Site"), the website for Earshot LLC ("Earshot"). We respect your privacy and we want to protect your personal information. This privacy policy applies to the Site, as well as the Earshot App (the "App"), collectively the "Earshot Service".  By using the Earshot Service, you are consenting to the information collection and use practices described in this privacy statement. 


Collecting Your Personal Information
Earshot will ask you when it needs information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you. We may collect such personal information as your name, e-mail, school, or company name through the Earshot Service.

The Earshot Service may collect certain information about your visit or use, such as the name of the Internet service provider and the Internet Protocol (IP) address through which you access the Internet; the date and time you access the Earshot Service; the pages that you access while at the Earshot Service and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our site. This information is used for the operation and improvement of the Earshot Service. 

The Earshot Service may collect voice data via the Internet to our system.  The purpose of the Earshot Service is to collect teachers' voice data to provide teachers with feedback on their teaching. Although the Earshot Service is designed to focus on the teacher's voice, student voices may inadvertently be captured during the course of recording teacher voices. Once recordings have been uploaded into Earshot's system teachers can no longer access the recordings made. 

The data is stored and is used to provide you with service and is associated with your account. We may log data about the transmission, such as time and data and IP address.

We do not view or process any credit card information. For any purchases we use a third-party payment processor.  

Use of Your Personal Information
The personal information collected by the Earshot Service will be used to operate the Earshot Service and to provide the service(s) or carry out the transaction(s) you have requested or authorized. Earshot uses your personal data to make sure the Earshot Service does not crash, to improve our the Earshot Service's usefulness, and to enhance the field of teacher effectiveness through research. 

In support of these uses, Earshot may use personal information, data, or logs to provide you with more effective customer service, to improve the Earshot Service and any related Earshot products or services, and to make the Earshot Service easier to use by eliminating the need for you to repeatedly enter the same information or by customizing the Earshot Service to your particular preference or interests. 

We may use your personal information to provide you with important information about the product or service that you are using, including critical updates and notifications. Additionally, with your permission, we may send you information about other Earshot products and services.

De-identified data that does not identify you may be used to inform the education community about trends; for sales and marketing purposes or promotional use.

Earshot may occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on its behalf, such as Web site hosting, packaging, mailing and delivering products, answering customer questions about products and services, performing surveys, and sending information about special offers or products. We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the service.

Earshot may disclose personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Earshot or the Earshot Service; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Earshot and its related Earshot Service; or (c) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of Earshot's employees or agents, users of Earshot's products or services, or members of the public.  Earshot may also disclose personal information as part of a merger or acquisition, bankruptcy, reorganization or sale of our company. We will notify you if a different company or organization will receive your personal information and the promises contained in this Privacy Policy will apply to your data as transferred to another entity.

Personal information collected on the Earshot Service may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which Earshot or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by using the Earshot Service, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country. Earshot abides by the safe harbor framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of data from the European Union. 

Control of Your Personal Information
Except as otherwise described in this statement, personal information you provide on the Earshot Service will not be shared outside of Earshot and any controlled subsidiaries and affiliates without your permission. 

Earshot agrees to take all reasonable measures to delete a school's data if requested by the school in writing at the addresses provided below.


Access to Your Personal Information
Customer information is collected by and stored using cloud-based technology. You can review and edit the personal information you provided at the Earshot Service by contacting Earshot at help@TheEarshotApp.com.

Security of Your Personal Information
Earshot is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. 

Cookies
We use cookies on the Earshot Services to ensure the integrity of the registration process and to personalize the Earshot Service. A cookie is a small text file that is placed on your hard disk by a Web page server. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a Web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. 

Cookies help the Earshot Service recall your specific information to ease your Earshot Service navigation, allowing you easier use of the features on the Earshot Service that you customized, among other things.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of this or other web sites you visit. 

Earshot may use remarketing tools to advertise its conferences, products and services, content, and allow association sponsors to advertise online. Third-party vendors including Google may show our ads across sites on the Internet. These third parties use Cookies to serve ads based on user’s past visits to the Earshot App website.

Visitors to the Earshot Service can opt-out of remarketing networks that use cookies by visiting Google Ads Settings page. Alternatively, you can point your visitors to opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page.

Use of Page Tags
The Earshot Service may use page tags to assist in delivering cookies on our sites and allow us to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. We may include page tags in promotional e-mail messages or our newsletters in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon. 

The Earshot Service may also use page tags from third parties in order to help compile aggregated statistics and determine the effectiveness of promotional campaigns. We prohibit page tags on our sites from being used by third parties to collect or access your personal information.

We may occasionally update this privacy statement. When we do, we will also revise the "last updated" date at the top of the privacy statement. We encourage you to periodically review this privacy statement to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. Your continued use of the service constitutes your agreement to this privacy statement and any updates.
